How You Can Help

Harlem Office

The Clinton Foundation New York office staff is an experienced group of professionals, who work at a fast pace to handle a high volume of far-ranging assignments. At virtually every moment of the day, a great deal is happening here. Interns assist the staff with administration, communications, scheduling, and public outreach. Each intern is truly needed—and appreciated.

Apart from our interns’ shared desire to contribute to the Clinton Foundation, they volunteer to serve in our Office for many different reasons. For some, interning is a way to come to a decision about a possible career in public service. For others, it’s a way to contribute to the betterment of society on a global scale. Some have strong, specific interest in the economic development of our surrounding community of Harlem. For most, New York City itself, in all its variety, is part of the magnetism. Finally, for others, the nature of our work, with all the excitement, surprises, action, and ever-changing assignments is the draw.

We are committed to making this a very positive experience for our interns. We want you to be able to achieve your individual goals here, as well as to contribute fully to the workings of the office.

Each term is a learning experience for us, too. We are proud that our staff now includes several past interns. In addition, many of our interns have gone on to work in a variety of capacities in the private sector.

Roles

We look for interns who are highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Interns should have good written and oral communications skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. They should also be flexible and able to take initiative.

To apply for an internship based in the New York Harlem office, complete the online application, selecting positions in the Harlem office, and mail or scan your letters of recommendation to Julie Becker (internship@clintonfoundation.org) in the New York Harlem office.
