The William J. Clinton Presidential Center is located within a new 30-acre city park along the Arkansas River in Little Rock. It consists of:

  • The museum, which highlights the achievements of President Clinton's two terms in office
  • The library and archives, which houses all of President Clinton's official papers and other historical material related to the Clinton administration University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service
  • The offices of the William J. Clinton Foundation

The William J. Clinton Presidential Center, through its community outreach and programming, Library and Museum, and the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service, advances the mission of the William J. Clinton Foundation. With leadership from President Clinton, the Center is prepared to engage the vital issues of the 21st Century. It advocates peace and prosperity, freedom and security, and a global community rooted in shared values, shared benefits, and shared responsibility.

The Clinton Presidential Center requires the involvement of numerous people to accomplish its mission. A significant entity of the Center is the Clinton Library and Museum, which is mainly administered by the National Archives. The primary mission of the National Archives is the preservation of the Presidential records, personal and donated papers, and memorabilia of the Clinton Administration. Therefore, a collaboration of dedicated employees and invaluable volunteers and interns comprise a devoted, professional staff that represents and operates the Center.

The Center is committed to creating an environment that assists staff, volunteers, and interns in reaching their full potential. Through this effort, visitors to the Clinton Presidential Center will be provided an educational and engaging experience that should instill in them a better understanding of the Clinton Administration, the institution of the Presidency, and the American political system.

The University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service (UACS) opened in Fall 2004 and its first students began classes in the fall of 2005. UACS will be a unique unit within the University of Arkansas System. Operating under the sponsorship of the University¹s three largest graduate campuses, it will confer a Masters in Public Service degree, offer a Certificate in Public Service, and sponsor non-credit courses for the general public. UACS also will hold town hall meetings, symposia, conferences, lecture series, and other events for its various audiences. It will cooperate extensively with the Clinton Presidential Center in bringing internationally prominent leaders to Arkansas to participate in educational and community demonstration programs.
